About this position:
We're looking for an individual who will dedicate their time to further streamline the relationship between Altfuture and our community. This is a responsible, dynamic position that, after onboarding, requires autonomous multi-tasking and prioritization.
The ideal candidate has an innate need to learn and adapt, and knows Derail Valley and its community exceptionally well. They know English very well, and can handle large communities in a positive and de-escalating manner. The candidate has a desire to continually follow and understand ongoing Derail Valley features, content, development details and plans.
As a member of our team you will read through discussions and customer inquiries on our community forums, social media and email channels on a regular basis. You will summarize customer feedback into actionable tasks for the rest of the team, and generally inform the team of any key happenings in the community.
You will also be in the loop with team discussions, to understand ongoing project features, limitations, plans and other information, and use this to help the community by answering questions and concerns, solving problems of individual customers and providing relevant information, where applicable.
You and your words will be a represention of Altfuture on many platforms.
Along the way you will moderate the communities to maintain a friendly, peaceful and on-topic environment. When time allows you might engage the community through light-hearted virtual events and contests.
In your day to day work you will also coordinate our team of testers and translators, organizing their beta access and information, communicating in order to improve results, workflows and satisfaction both for them and the dev team.
You will also continually improve your knowledge about Derail Valley by testing the game, either when needed by the development team, to write more specific tasks, or to help customers resolve their issues.
You will independently assign, prioritize and manage these activities in real time. You'll adapt as needed and continually take part in company discussions, suggesting ways to improve workflows and providing feedback from your POV and that of the community.
Key activities you'll do:
Keeping track of both community interactions and development plans
Helping, informing, occasionally engaging and moderating the community
Coordinating the beta tester and translation teams
Game testing and participation in development discussion
What you'll bring:
Excellent written English
Factual, friendly, de-escalating communication style
Strong experience with playing Derail Valley and understanding its community
