Altfuture is a software company based in Belgrade, Serbia, with a team spread across the globe. Our goal is to deliver amazing products to the world, and steer the industry in a positive direction.
Our flagship product, Derail Valley, is a train driving simulator with an emphasis on immersion, realism and fun gameplay mechanics.
It is the highest rated game in its genre, having set new standards with native VR support, open-world gameplay, economy system, advanced powertrain simulation, detailed physics and audio, accident simulation, vehicle customization, fair pricing and many more advantages.
The project was started in 2016 by a few people, released in 2019, and has been in continuous development ever since.

Switchcars (2016) - One of the first independent PC games made in Serbia and our first product
Derail Valley OST (2020) - Collection of music tracks we made for Derail Valley and its trailers
Our team is 12 strong.
We do all development and publishing in-house, and do so with love, experience and hard work. True independence is one of our most valuable assets – being able to make the best decisions without a sluggish hierarchy to report to. However, it is also the hardest-earned one.
Altfuture was born out of passion and with no financial backing. Having started with practically nothing, we grew through countless challenges to get to where we are today. In the process we've gained a lot of experience and strengthened our core principles, which shows in the way we treat our customers and how we design and ship our products.
